Forced Air Install with Domestic Water Heater
The hot water lines go from the outdoor furnace to the water heater first and goes in and out of the
heat exchanger on the hot water tank. This plate heat exchanger makes very hot water every time you turn on your hot water.
You just never run out of hot water no matter how much you use. Your domestic water does not mix at all with the outdoor furnace
water.
From the water heater the furnace water
travels over to the forced air furnace or air handler. The water line runs in and out of the heat exchanger that is installed
in your furnace plenum or duct work. You will run your thermostat just to control the blower in your heating system. You will
have hot air at the registers unlike a heat pump. I can heat my house with the windows open! Well maybe not all the time. After
the water leaves the duct coil heat exchanger it travels back to the outdoor furnace. Some of you may choose to
pick up another heat exchanger or baseboard heater prior to having the water return to the heater.

Boiler install at my friend Dave's home.
The 50 plate heat exchanger is mounted on the return side of the boiler so that when the zone pumps kick on it heats the return
water going into the boiler. These systems work very well, they do not disable the oil or gas just use them as a back up to
the wood. Price for the boiler packages are the same as the forced air packages.
